Would anyone like to come on a summer afternoon walk.  The route is about 5 miles in total and can be shortened to about 3.5 for those who want a  more leisurely walk.  We will start the circular walk at Wyevale garden centre, near New Haw. (Addlestone).  Those wishing to take the shorter route can return to the garden centre for tea and cake, while others complete the route.

When : Tuesday 22nd August.
Time : 2:00pm.
Meet : The White House. (So we can share vehicles)

Another WI ‘end of term’ approaches.

On Tuesday we will celebrate summer in our usual style – PIMMS, shortbread, strawberries and an entertainer. Ever wondered how those amazing balloon creatures and flowers are made – without popping the balloon? On Tuesday you will be finding out!

Glenys would like to invite all WI members to her annual fund raising garden party, this year Glenys is raising money for meningitis  research. Full details on the invite below

We are looking forward to taking part in this year’s Classics on the Green with our usual second hand book stall.

Pleas bring you donations of unwanted books/CDs/DVDs or Music cassettes to the WI stall on Sunday or drop them off in Kit’s BLACK BOX (outside 1 Gresham Road) on Saturday.

Jacqui, Lesley and Kit are manning the stall. If you can drop by and stay long enough to give them a tea break they’d appreciate it!
