I am very excited about Tuesdays meeting as we have John Garrod giving us a presentation of the secret gardens of the City of London.  The talk is precursor to our planned outing to see the gardens for real on July 4th. we hope lots of you can join us.

Get Baking  – Saturday is the annual Hampton Carnival held on the green.  We have a stall which this year will be dedicated to edibles so we need plenty of cakes and jam to sell.  This is one of our main fundraising events and helps us raise funds so we can book better speakers and guests.  Last year we one the Best Stand lets see if we can do it again this year.

We look forward to our meeting on Tuesday when we will be learning the art of silk painting with Sylvie form the Artbox based at the community centre in Whitton.

All the materials will be provided but if anyone has an embriodery hoop it would be great if you could bring it along

Finally – A number of people showed an interest in a Walking Group.  If anyone would like to take part in our first walk for a couple of years I have planned one around Chobham Common on Sunday 10th May

I sadly noticed on Saturday that he lovely Tatters fabric shop is closing down but they do have some good deals on fabric so get there quickly before you miss out.
