Magical Christmas …

A little bit of magic is always part of Christmas and we have Steve the Magician returning to us next week to add a little magical sparkle to our day. Guests welcome, £2, but no under 18s please. Mince pies, tea coffee and bucks fizz!

If you are planning your cash flow may I remind you that subs are due in the new year. Chris has informed me they will be £40 for 2018, or £20 if you are a dual member and pay you main subs to another branch. You can pay next week or at our January Quiz Night, or online in the usual way. Thank you.

Photos, thank yous and an offer from Suryia …

Hello, a great start to the Christmas season was had last night at Merits – crackers, jokes, hats and a Christmas tree got us in the mood. I have posted a few photographs in our website gallery.

I’d like to say thank you to all of you who helped on Sunday. Our Jam Jar tombola was a huge success – thank you to everyone who donated full and empty jars throughout the year – at meetings and via my ‘black box’. We had a whopping 200 jars. I’ve added a few photographs to the gallery.

Suryia recently held a free Introduction to Papercraft afternoon. 4 ladies arrived from Hampton WI Gwen, Ann, Karen and Christine. She sent this report
‘We had a lovely afternoon making a greeting card and 2, 3D  items . The afternoon was filled with laughter and lovely stories.
3 ladies were new to rubber stamping and left feeling uplifted & inspired and want me to do this on a regular programme.
I would like to continue this “chat and craft” sessions
from Jan 2018 on a monthly basis, all Hampton WI members and friends are welcome.’
Thank you Suriya, a generous offer. So, watch out for more information and dates coming soon.

Christmas meal …

Hello Christmas Elves,  I hope you all have your travel plans sorted. A few people have contacted me offering lifts and asking for lifts please try and make contact before I go to work at 15:00 if you need me to hook you up with someone. The meal is booked for 18:30, so if you have to use a pay and display bay it’s not going to cost much and I believe if you have a Richmond Card you can get 30 minutes free, not sure about the Ts and Cs  but worth checking out.

See you later

Kit
