NEXT MEETING—‘SHOW & TELL’ CRAFT EVENING Tuesday 13th May

knitting hands  Don’t forget to bring something you’ve made to join in the fun at next week’s meeting-anything you’ve made yourself-drawings, embroidery, scrap art, cakes, jam, dresses-anything at all. It can be something you made decades ago, or hopefully, something you have made for us to sell at our upcoming Hampton Carnival stall-now there’s a hint if you like! Don’t worry-we won’t be expecting professional standards! There will be plenty of time to discuss all the pieces with their creators-maybe you’ll discover a new hobby-maybe it’ll rekindle interest in an old one! But if nothing else, it will be, as always, time for us to chat & share a laugh! Hope to see you there-why not bring a friend with you? Please remember that we are now trialling bringing our own mugs for tea & coffee to save us using the plastic ones-if nothing else, you’ll get a bigger drink!

STANLEY PICKER GALLERY & CERAMICS WORKSHOP

Can we please remind you that we need to know who might be interested in this completely free trip, offered to us by this gallery, which is associated Kingston University. We would be escorted round a current exhibition & given a ceramics workshop where we would all get the opportunity to make something. It also includes light refreshments. Please be sure to let us know as we are unable to proceed further, even to book a date, unless we have some idea of numbers. If you would like to come please let us know very soon.

HAMPTON WI APRIL 2014

img_8606-21[1]  This month, we tried our hands -& any other body parts we could -at yoga, care of Linty Wright, a local yoga teacher of long standing. To our delight, a large number of our members brought their equipment & joined in alongside some of Linty’s students. We would like to thank them all for joining us, especially Linty, who gave us a fascinating insight into her life in yoga & enabled us to experience an introduction into this ancient & valuable practice.
