August Meeting – You are invited …

Tuesday 10th August 19:30 at the Hampton Inspired Hub

Strawberries and shortbread, always a winning combination, will be served!

And possibly a few activities or party games too!

I hope you can join us for a summer social on Tuesday. We don’t usually have an August meeting, but we have seen so little of each other we thought we’d slip an extra session in.

Tea and coffee available as per and hopefully the bar will be open for for you to buy soft drinks, bottled beer or wine if you wish to.

Have a great weekend.

Celebrate British Wool

Regardless of the outcome of Sunday’s match we will be celebrating on Tuesday. Celebrating British wool that is.

Our speaker for July is Lisa from Wool Decanted, a local company who started up last year, in a houseboat, on the Thames, after seeing TV footage of British fleeces going to waste during the pandemic. They are on a mission to create a soft British yarn, traceable from farm to mill, from dyer to labeller.

Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday. Visitors welcome so tell your yarny friends!

First ‘Normal’ Meeting for a while

Hello Everyone. I’m so excited to be almost back on track with our meetings. Following a well attended evening walk in May we are at Hampton Inspired Hub tomorrow for our Annual Meeting. 7:30 start, we hope to see you there.

The ‘Hub’ address is 3 Ashley Road (by Hampton Station) and there is a small, free, carpark.

The weather is looking good and we will be outside in the garden. There is plenty of seating, so you will not be on your feet all evening!

We have to run our formal business of voting for the committee (postponed from November 2020), accepting the accounts etc and Sarah Endersby from Middlesex Federation of WIs will be with us in her formal capacity as WI advisor, and to enjoy a slice of our WELCOME BACK cake!

We will also welcome our speaker, Susan Green, local entrepreneur, founder of Inspired Women, Greenacres Nursery and one of the people who rescued the Hampton Water Board Social Club building and breathed new life back into it.

But mostly the evening is a chance to catch up with friends, eat cake and explore our new home.

We are looking forward to seeing you.

Any questions feel free to message me on 07813 332096.
